The Technopôle Brest-Iroise implied in two work packages
The Technopôle is mainly working on two aspects considered as essential for the future development of marine renewable energies (MRE) in Finistère and Brittany.
In wp5, in collaboration with Pôle mer Bretagne, Bretagne développement innovation and of course our colleagues from Cornwall Council and Cornwal marine network, the Technopôle Brest-Iroise is studies the opportunities and difficulties that local SMEs may encounter when adressing the MRE supply chain. The Technopôle is responsible for the delivery of a guide of good practices for SMEs which aim is to encourage the integration of local SMEs in the supply chain. This guide will be finalised and published on our website end of 2012.
In wp6 led by Conseil général du Finistère, the Technopôle Brest-Iroise studies the opportunities to implement shareholding allowing individuals and communities to invest in projects of MRE production and/or their potential co-activities. Another pilot action is also the analysis of opportunities linked to the co-activities (eg. link between MRE projects and aquaculture or tourism.
