An important delegation from Brest, led by Brest métropole océane (Urban community of Brest) with the support of the Regional Council of Brittany, the General Council of Finistère, Technopôle Brest-Iroise and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brest, traveled to Rio de Janeiro at the beginning of June to take part in meetings, conferences and seminars on the themes of ocean science and maritime resources and safety. An economic mission has also been carried out by companies such as CLS, NKE Electronics, IXBLUE and ECA Robotics. These high-level meetings stem from the protocol signed in 2011 between the Brittany Region and the State of Rio de Janeiro that have areas of mutual interest in maritime economy. They have decided to share their experience and know-how and compare their initiatives and expectations.
